Slack
Get GEO alerts in Slack.
The Genlytic Slack integration sends visibility alerts and GEO Agent notifications directly to your Slack channels.
What the integration sends
Alert notifications (signal events):
visibility_drop(critical) — your Visibility Score dropped below the anomaly thresholdshadow_competitor(warning) — a new brand was detected appearing in your tracked promptscitation_lost(warning) — a domain that previously cited you no longer appears in AI responses
GEO Agent notifications:
- Coordinator run completed — summary of what the Agent found and created
- Approval needed — a task requires your approval before execution
Setup
Go to Settings → Integrations → Slack. Click Connect to Slack and authorize the Genlytic app in your Slack workspace.
Choose the Slack channel where Genlytic should post notifications. You can use an existing channel or create a dedicated #geo-alerts channel.
Select which signal types to receive. You can enable or disable each type independently: visibility_drop, shadow_competitor, citation_lost, agent run completed, approval needed.
Click Save. Genlytic will send a test message to confirm the channel is connected.
Notification format
Each Slack message includes:
- Signal type and severity badge
- Short description of the event
- Direct link to the relevant page in the Genlytic dashboard
Troubleshooting
No messages received — check that the Genlytic app has permission to post in the selected channel. Private channels require an explicit invite.
Wrong channel — go to Settings → Integrations → Slack to update the target channel.
