Optimize — Briefs
AI-generated content briefs for GEO.
Briefs are AI-generated content documents that guide the creation of new pages or content rewrites targeting specific GEO gaps.
What a Brief is
A Brief is a structured content specification generated from a Content Gap action or created manually. It gives your content team or AI writer everything needed to produce a page that will be cited by AI models for a specific prompt.
How briefs are created
Briefs are created in two ways:
From a Content Gap action — when the GEO Agent or a coordinator run identifies a content_gap opportunity, it automatically creates a brief draft in the background via the playbook system.
Manually — open the Briefs tab in the Optimize page, click New Brief, select the target prompt(s), and generate.
Brief content structure
Each generated brief contains:
| Section | Content |
|---|---|
| H1 recommendation | Exact title to use for the page |
| Content outline | H2/H3 structure with section summaries |
| FAQ section | Questions and answer stubs optimized for AI citation |
| Schema markup | JSON-LD to embed on the page |
| Target length | Recommended word count based on competitor page analysis |
| Model notes | Per-model observations about what each AI engine favors for this prompt |
