Optimize — Briefs

AI-generated content briefs for GEO.

Briefs are AI-generated content documents that guide the creation of new pages or content rewrites targeting specific GEO gaps.

What a Brief is

A Brief is a structured content specification generated from a Content Gap action or created manually. It gives your content team or AI writer everything needed to produce a page that will be cited by AI models for a specific prompt.

How briefs are created

Briefs are created in two ways:

From a Content Gap action — when the GEO Agent or a coordinator run identifies a content_gap opportunity, it automatically creates a brief draft in the background via the playbook system.

Manually — open the Briefs tab in the Optimize page, click New Brief, select the target prompt(s), and generate.

Brief content structure

Each generated brief contains:

SectionContent
H1 recommendationExact title to use for the page
Content outlineH2/H3 structure with section summaries
FAQ sectionQuestions and answer stubs optimized for AI citation
Schema markupJSON-LD to embed on the page
Target lengthRecommended word count based on competitor page analysis
Model notesPer-model observations about what each AI engine favors for this prompt

Generate a Brief

  1. Select a Content Gap action or click New Brief
  2. Choose the target prompt(s)
  3. Click Generate Brief — output streams in real time
  4. Review the generated structure and edit as needed

Brief generation uses Claude (claude-sonnet model). Output is structured JSON parsed into the brief document. Generation typically takes 15–30 seconds.

Export

  • Copy Markdown — copies the full brief as formatted Markdown
  • Download .md — downloads a .md file ready for your CMS or editor
